The Quantum Optics group at Wigner has both experimental and theoretical activities in the research field of cavity QED with cold atoms in optical resonators.
It holds major grants at the national level aiming at the development of quantum technologies. Within the CRYST^3 project the group contributes to the design of nano-structured optical waveguides to tailer the interaction of ultracold atoms with two-dimensionally confined electromagnetic fields at the quantum level.

• Therory of cold atoms coupled to HCPCF : loading, trapping and cooling
